Yes, there are now pretty titles to all of my blog postings. I know you are just jumping for joy. So swiveling if, like I, you are sitting in a rather comfy desk chair. I also changed my profile... again. This is the template I originally employed when first starting my blog. But then a friend or two had the same one so I switched. I am now back to my true colors. The old parchment look makes me think of quill pens and letters by courier. I rather like that. I have a beautiful gold quill pen I use on special occasions. How would it be if we still used such tools? I would love it. Truly love it. Messages delivered by horsemen would be so much more the romantic. Yes, I may have been reading too much Jane Austen lately. Sigh.
I am currently reading The Jungle Book. Interestingly different from any film adaptations I've ever seen. There of course is the Disney version, then the human version which is boring since Mowgli doesn't speak, and then there's a super old version my family used to own that was equally as boring. So I've seen at least three films adaptations... and the book is far superior so far. As often is the case. Makes me want to hunt the jungles of India! With my camera, not a firearm. Speaking of which, Matthew is beginning to obsess about his future handgun. I shouldn't have given in to his desires. Now all I hear about are glock this and rifles that and ranges we can shoot at and the different calibers of ammunition and how long it is until his birthday when he will receive his first handgun. Good grief, he's worse than a child.
We took both our cars to be inspected today. Seriously, who knew Virginia required inspections and you could get pulled over and ticketed if no sticker were found? Goodness. Well, at least I didn't get a ticket. My car was A-OK and Matt's needed some kind of alteration in his headlights. But besides that we were golden. Not super expensive either, but I would prefer to live in a state where this wasn't required every year. Well, at least we know our cars are in good working order. I did notice that the crack in my windshield is growing so I should probably get that fixed soon. It happened shortly after I got the car on my 16th birthday from a flying rock behind a truck. I wasn't happy about it. Oh well, we'll probably buy a new vehicle before it spreads anymore. I'll still get it sealed either way for safety.
Oh sweet summer, I must bid thee adieu far too quickly. Goodbye and goodbye. Only two more days and a weekend. Sigh.
[edit]
And I changed the template again. Just for something very different. I like the red tones.
