We're not supposed to have favorites as teachers, but I do have a few favorites. I know, it's horrible. One of my favorites was drawing some interesting pictures one day so I asked him what they were. I could tell they were a bunch of people but they were all sorts of colors. "well, this is batman. He's fighting the joker, two face, the penguin, and the bank robber." now that he pointed it out, each of these characters was the appropriate colors. Very clever. I asked him who the last person in the corner was. "why that's kitty woman!" ok, cutest moment in our classroom all year. This little boy (I actually luke his whole family, a great family) has worked his way into my heart. I want to name our first son after him someday because I've grown to love that name. But Matt doesn't quite agree. Maybe he should meet this kid. But for right now, Jackson is still top of the list.

I had to kick open my car door this morning because it was frozen. It's actually a funny story. This has happened before. So with jeeps you have to push in this stubborn button to open the door. Ut's known to jam peoples thumbs if they aren't paying attention. So it freezes shut on me. Not an ideal situation when I need to get to work. So what do I do? I hold on tight to the handle with my hand and throw my foot against the little button. I push as hard as I can with my foot while trying to figure out how to balance once the door flies open. Thankfully, it opened, I remained standing, and I got to work on time. It was interesting though. The kids watching me from the bus stop down the street had a good laugh, I'm sure. Good thing I'm flexible enough to maneuver my body around the door. Ha.

I did something kind of stupid yesterday. I decided to pretend I was still a cheerleader. That wasn't the stupid part so don't start making jokes. I probably won't be able to coach next year since I'll be working fulltime still. But the year after that I might try to find a coaching position. I'd like to go to a school where cheering isn't appreciated and build their program. I have stunts in mind, and we'd practice jumps like no other, and do at least 2 dance routines. Now, if I'm going to build the program I'd have to be able to do everything I want them to do perfectly. So I had better get back in cheer shape. Plus it's fun. Anyways, so I decide to run through my jumps for the first time in a couple years. I've done a lone toe touch here and there, but hadn't done reps of all the jumps for quite awhile. Mistake 1:I didn't stretch properly before since I used to do my stretching at the end of practice. I was much more limber back then. Mistake 2: I didn't wear shoes. My ankles have apparently weakened since high school. Mistake 3: thinking I could still do multiple jumps without pulling something. I hurt my ankle somehow, but it's not terrible. I pulled something in my thigh while trying to gain more height on my Russian. And I lost some self esteem. Just a little though. well, it's something for me to work on. I still had pretty decent height and form though. That's encouraging. Definitely working with shoes from now on though.

I bought a new necklace today. Matt says the color looks like a blood blister. Yummy. But I like it. It's way Moe orange than that anyways. I was debating this big pendant or a string of large turquoise beads. I'll probably end up buying the other one anyways. I love new necklaces. For the past 3.5 years I've worn my locket pretty much every day. It's nice to have some variety now.

One more day to the work week. I like school delays. I hope this morning ice keeps up for awhile longer. I surely don't mind.
