4 Year Anniversary

Today is the four year anniversary of our journey together. Four years ago, Matt had come home from his freshman year of college for Christmas break on the 17th. On the 18th was the big Bonnell family Christmas with all our extended family. Everyone had heard so much about Matt, they wanted to meet him. He came over and was a hit. My nephew even spit up all over him. On the 19th I went over to his house to have lunch with his family. I was extremely nervous and wanted them to like me. I think it went pretty well. On the 20th we had our first official date, at the end of which he asked me to be his girlfriend. When he left to go home that night he also have me my first kiss... And second and third. Yes, he is the only not I have ever kissed. And here we are four years later. Still as happy as ever with me still trying to impress his family, even though I don't have to.

I want our home to be perfect when his family arrives for Christmas. I know they don't have high expectations and they don't judge, but I want to be a proper hostess and have a nice comfortable home to welcome them in to. It's almost perfect. I have lots of treats to serve, I'm making lots of cookies later this week, and we're going shopping tomorrow and Monday for a few more homey accessories. I want it to be perfect. The kitty adds so much to our home. She really is the perfect little addition to our family.

Speaking of little bagira face, she is just so spoiled! And she knows it. She gets way more people food than she should have, she is allowed to go anywhere she wants in the house, we move around to keep her comfortable on the bed or couch, and she is petted and held at the slightest meow. She is spoiled! And I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm so glad we could give her a loving home.

I'm working in the church nursery tomorrow. I'll be glad when my weeks are up. I signed up for them a couple months ago thinking the extra Christmas money would be nice. Now I wish I could sleep in and go to regular church service instead. I have to work 745 till 1145. Not so bad, but I wish I could sleep in on my Christmas break! Oh well. The extra cash is the up side.

Time for a little more reading before bed. The kitten snuggled up next to me of course.

Happy holidays!
