I love having the kitten sit behind me in the computer chair while I type away. It makes it feel so much cozier having her there. She was such a wise investment! I'm starting to think we may never need our two German Shepherds after all. As long as I have a kitten I'll be happy!

Yesterday was quite the day. Fabulous actually. I woke up plenty early to get some coffee with my MIL and SIL. Starbucks is a rare treat for me now. I used to drink it every morning before high school and after school before cheerleading practice. Where I got the money for all that coffee, I'll never know. So we began the day with a nice pick me up of Gingersnap Latte. We then headed over to the J.Crew Clearance store. My MIL and SIL are huge fans of J.Crew. I like it a lot, but don't generally spend my money there. But this was a special occasion... kinda. So we browsed for awhile, tried on many clothes, and I ended up with four sweaters! Woo! And my MIL insisted on paying for them! So generous! I have a nice light olive cardigan, an oatmeal colored cardigan, a slate gray cardigan, and a lighter gray cardigan. I really like cardigan sweaters because they are perfect to dress up any outfit. I've been looking for a good oatmeal and gray sweater so these are perfect! We then picked up my BIL and went to Panera for lunch. My favorite. While we were out my FIL worked on my muffler that has been clanking around for about two months now. He is very handy like that. I am so thankful that we had just the right amount of tools and parts to fix it! Seriously, my in-laws are so generous and amazing. I am so truly blessed. So now no more clanking when I drive! And I don't have to worry about it breaking off mid-drive somewhere! That would be a real pickle since I don't think we have enough money to replace it and pay our bills! What a blessing.

I went home for a bit to sew up some buttons on my sweaters (they were discounted because the buttons were loose and had to be fixed... nothing I can't handle! I love to sew!) and take a nap. But the nap never happened. Little Em needed some attention. She had gotten used to the idea of ours being a seven person household so she was never in want of pats! She doesn't like spending time alone. So I gave her some good pats before Matt came home. He worked his first day shift! Yay! Such a nicer schedule. He has to wake up around 6 am but he gets home at 3. So much better than working 3-11:30. We'll finally have our evenings together!

The family was out at the mall so we decided to join them! We paid off most of our credit card bill at Sears with whatever cash we had. We only have about $50 left to pay for our TV! Yay! And we definitely have that I just didn't have the cash then. I got my fabulous new jeans from Gap with my Christmas gift cards. They didn't have my size but the next size up fit pretty well. A little roomy, but they stay up. So I got em anyways! They were just too cute to wait for the next shipment! It's not really a whole size difference anyways. My usual size is an even number and this is the next up odd number... so it's basically the same size, just a different fit. Kinda. But new jeans make me happy. We then headed over to Best Buy so Matthew could spend his Christmas gift cards. He got a new controller for the PS3 that has some rumble mode or something so it's better apparently. And he got Call of Duty 5. He and Mark played it for awhile once we brought it home. I'm not a huge fan.

For dinner we went to Applebee's. I don't remember the last time I was in an Applebee's. I know Matt and I have gone once here in Lynchburg... and besides that it might have been high school. We used to go after every sporting event and concert before there was anything else available nearby. Then Celebration village went up and Applebee's was forgotten. The strawberry lemonade there might have redeemed Applebee's on it's own! It's pretty stinkin amazing!

We turned in early, after almost two hours of Call of Duty by the boys, and had a nice slumber. Matt worked groups this morning at the hospital while I tidied up around the house again. There's a lot of trash to pick up after Christmas and I've already torn down all our decorations. I just have to buy a new storage box for it all and I'll be all done packing away our Christmas stuff. It all looks so bear now. I have to find some new things to fill the empty spaces.

I'm wearing one of my new cardigans with my new jeans. I like it... a lot. New clothes make me feel happy. And I hardly ever get new clothes now. Sometimes I'll get something from goodwill or trade some clothes with my friends, but not brand new. Happy.

Tonight we're going over to the Vandegriff's, Jamie's in-laws to watch a UFC fight. Should be a pretty fun time... I think. Ihaven't seen a fight in a long time. Anyways~ the in-laws just got here. So gotta run!
