a note

We almost got a kitty today. It was a beautiful black cat with green eyes. Matthew has always wanted a black cat, so we compromised in agreeing to get a grey Russian blue kitten. We haven't been able to find one so I was going to let him have his way since this kitty was so beautiful. But we decided to wait since half the fun of getting a kitty is to enjoy it when it's a small kitten. Tomorrow when Matt gets off work we're going to the humane society. Hopefully they'l have a good baby for us.

I filled up my car from past empty to beyond the full mark for 35$! I have a jeep Cherokee sport so it has a semi large tank. This is so exciting. I don't remember the last time has was below 2$! It was before I had my own car, that's for sure. I'm not sure why has prices have been on the rapid decline the past month, but I hope it keeps up! If so then maybe Matt and I will be able to make a quick trip home after Christmas afterall!

I just watched sweet home Alabama for the first time in years. I had forgotten just how cute Reese witherspoon's hair was short. She is one of my favorite actresses. She is so beautiful in a simple, natural way. It made me want to chop my hair just like hers. But I know my hair would never cooperate. I would hair to curl it every morning to feel presentable. I like being able to let it air dry or just blow dry it quickly in the mornings. Maybe after baby number one I'll do the sweet home Alabama do though.

I seriously love all our new housewares! My parents were so generous. The rugs feel so nice on our feet. Now the floors aren't so cold and slick. Next on my list is a mop so I can thoroughly clean our wood and tile floors since that makes up our entire apartment! Our new key dish on our entryway table is so beautiful. Much nicer than the plastic dollar store seashell dishes we used before. This one has a white floral pattern across the tab ceramic. It goes beautifully with the table and our mail holder and the picture of us. All our Christmas decorations are wonderful. I love this season! Autumn is my favorite weather season, but Christmas is my favorite holiday to decorate for. Everything is so beautiful and classic- at least our decorations are. I finally get to use the snowman dish sets Kristin and her family got me for a shower present! So excited!

I'm so excited for Matthew's family to come here for Christmas. I miss Mark. When Matt and I first started hanging out I was worried Mark and I would never get along. But let me tell you, he is such an amazing brother-in-law! Couldn't ask for better. It will also be nice to see Josh and Jamie. I didn't get to spend much time with Jamie St the wedding since I was running around, going crazy! And I haven't seen Josh since the weekend we got engaged! It will definitely be nice to have the whole family back together. Hopefully we'll get some good family pictures with all of us. Matt's parents are currently in Hawaii celebrating their anniversary! How much fun. I doubt Matt and I will ever go to Hawaii, but it would make for a nice relaxing vacation. For one of our anniversaries Matt wants to take a trip to Italy. But for other major anniversaries I think I may enjoy jewelry. I am all about the previous jewels and jems!

Matthew is at work and I have some things to do tonight. But I wanted to update and get rid of my "middle school post" with the silly survey. I just have fun filling those out for some reason!

Have a wonderful weekend and hopefully I'll have pictures of a kitty to post later this weekend!
