Starting in 4th grade I have been addicted to email, blogging, and browsing the web for hours. My friend, Lisa and I used to call each other after school to talk and email each other at the same time. It was a bit ridiculous! Lisa and Adam were my first email contacts and we emailed each other pretty much every day. Now that I think about it, the situation was probably pretty embarrassing since we all used our family emails and our parents had access to our letters. Thankfully, I didn't have a crush on Adam at the time. He just was one of the few kids whose paretns let use email. Anyways, the point is that email surveys used to be all the rage. I filled out every one that came my way and hoped my friends would do the same. In junior high is was always interesting sending them to my past, present, and future boyfriends. It was a good way to fish for compliments. I sent a copy of one for 8th grade to my old boyfriend, Marty, so we could have a good laugh over it. Example: Would you want to play hockey with me? You'd be fun to check... and check out! Yes, I had a slight addiction to the questionaires. My friend, Kathryn, just did this one of her blog, so I thought I'd follow suit for the sake of old times.

1. What is your occupation? Preschool teacher and nanny. I'm enjoying it much more than I ever thought possible. Next year I'm bound to work in an office in a much less fulfilling job. But who knows? Maybe something amazing is just around the corner and I don't know it yet. The goal is to be a stay at home mom in a couple years.
2. What color are your socks right now? Not wearing any socks. I'm in my jammies and I can't stand wearing socks to bed.
3. What music are you listening to right now? The Beatles: Abbey Road. I needed some good background music. The Beatles always make everything better.
4. What was the last thing you ate? Potatoes and cheese. Such a healthy dinner, I know. I don't cook much when Matthew is working. He works evening shift right now so it's a waste of food to make a big dinner. Starting in December he moves to day shift though! So excited!
5. Can you drive a stick shift? Nope. I was going to learn... but then Matt got a new automatic car! I'm still going to learn though. You never know when you'll be in an emergency!
6. Last person you spoke to on the phone? Matthew. He called to check on me because I had left him a message. I was attacked by a killer spider in the bathroom. It scurried around the floor at me. It was a beast of a spider too. I eventually found something to squish it with. Nastiness.
7. How old are you today? 21, baby.
8. What is your favorite sport to watch on TV? I have to be true to my sport and say cheerleading. The annual tryouts for the Dallas Cowboys are the best. I used to dream of being s cowgirl. The often imitated, etc etc. But since cheerleading really isn't on all that much... I enjoy tennis. Funny, the two sports I played in high school.
9. What is your favorite drink? Overall: water. Pop: Root Beer. I don't drink alcoholic beverages. I don't like them.
10. Have you ever dyed your hair? I started highlighting it in 8th grade. In college I decided to start dying it from a box. I did that about every month my freshman year. (I skipped sophomore year) Junior year I decided to grow out my roots to my natural color. And here I am, natural.
11. Favorite food? I really like Angel Hair Pasta- the Pasta Roni kind. I know, not very extravagant.
12. What is the last movie you watched? One Fine Day. George Clooney does it right.
13. Favorite day of the year? October 4. The day I wanted to get married. But I didn't want to wait all summer and most of autumn. It is the perfect day though. Usually a slight chill in the air but not enough to warrant a sweater yet. The leaves are changing and some have fallen to the ground but the trees are still full. The epitome of autumn. Yum.
14. How do you vent anger? I complain to Matt. That's part of his job description as husband. I also clean. It helps to be busy. The dishes are especially cathartic.
15. What was your favorite toy as a child? At our first house we had this semi-unfinished basement. Part of it was my sister's room, and a guest room. Part of it had a TV with videogames and such. And the unfinished part had storage, a pool table, a ping pong table, and of course, unfinished cement floors for skateboarding etc. (which Scotty and I took advantage of!) The pool table was amazing. It didn't have two legs on either side like most pool tables. It was like a big block on the floor. To get to the hollow middle you had to climb through this opening in the corner on your hands and knees. Once inside there were these shelf things that were big enough for small children, up to about 6 years old. Needless to say, this was an incredible fort and hiding place.
16. What is your favorite season? Autumn. Hands down.
17. Cherries or Blueberries? Neither. I'm a strawberry and raspberry girl. I hate the textures of both cherries and blueberries and therefore can't eat them. It's the same texture as mushrooms and tomatoes!
18. What is your current living arrangement? I live with my husband, my fish, and soon-to-be kitten. We live in a basement apartment. We get along amazingly well with our upstairs neighbors and have an amazing rent for the size of our apartment. It is 2 miles to Matt's work in one direction, and 2 miles in the opposite direction to mine. The perfect location.
19. When was the last time you cried? Today's devos. I'm working through Mark. I was reading the parable of the Tenants. Hit me pretty hard. I wrote in my journal about it and ended up in tears. God teaches me new things every day.
20. What is on the floor of your closet? Our safe. My heels. A few random boxes. And Matt's suitcase.
21. Have you ever played 21? Not officially.
22. Who has been your friend for the longest? Scotty or Hannah.
23. Who is your best friend? Besides, Matt... Abby.
24. What did you do last night? Nannied. Then came home to make a delicious dinner for my husband. I love having a kitchen full of groceries.
25. What are you most afraid of? It's a tie between spiders of all shapes and sizes, unfamiliar big dogs, the dark, and deep water- the kind where it's dark and you can't see the bottom or what lies beneath.
26. Favorite animal? Penguins.
27. Favorite household pet? Kittens.
28. Favorite day of the week? Thursday. It has been since i first started watching Friends and it was on at 8 c'clock on NBC. And now it is my day off from nannying so I'm done with work at 12:15.
29. How many states have you lived in? Two- Michigan and Virginia. And Korea for the first 8 months of my life.
30. Diamonds or pearls? Pearls for everyday wear. I love their simple elegance. But I won't ever say no to diamonds.
31. Most treasured possession? My locket Matthew gave me for my 18th birthday. The letter my dad wrote me at the dads and daughters retreat we went to at Spring Hill. And the letters, pictures, and rings from my birth mother... well, pretty much all my pictures that I don't have on my computer or backed up.
32. Favorite flower? Bright yellow daffodils and red roses.
33. Weekend plans? Nothing too special. Sleeping in. Hopefully going kitty shopping. Working out. Cleaning the house as always.
34. Favorite vacation spot? Britain. Been there twice and excitedly anticipating trip number three. I dream of going to the Atlantis resort someday though.
35. Was this beneficial? No. It was actually pretty retarted. But that's me I suppose. :)

I have seen many varieties of this survey. All surveys change a little as they come and go. And people change the questions to fit their personal needs. I changed a few because they weren't applicable to me. That's how it goes. Hope you learned a little something about me.
