Yes, that's right. I'm actually watching The Bachelor. Mainly because I need something to do on my lunch breaks and all the shows I watch online only come out with a new episode every week. So... I need some more to fill the extra days. Some of my girlfriends are having a weekly Bachelor party also... so, ya know.
Anyways, it's always super funny to me when the guy or girls say how lucky they are to be there. I can't help but thinking "Really? Lucky? Because you can't find love in the normal way so you have to go on television to try to find it?" For the guy, "You haven't found love in normal life, you proposed and were declined, and now you have th relive the humiliation on television". For the girls, "Lucky? Trying to fall in true love while competing with many other girls?" Yeah, I wouldn't exactly describe it as "luck". Desperation, perhaps?
I guess it's my own fault for watching. Oh, I should clarify... I'm watching it on my lunch break because the girl who is hosting the Bachelor parties just moved and her TV isn't all set up yet.
Plus, if you were the Bachelor/Bachelorette wouldn't you wonder if the others were just playing you the whole time? I mean, honestly, everyone knows about the show. Knows some of the people are just there for the celebrity factor... for as little celebrity as they get. Ah well.
I am blessed to have found my special someone. Certainly blessed. We have quite the story. I had forgotten so many steps we took along the way prior to re-reading the Matt books. I am so thankful for the way our story unfolded. Matthew is amazing and I am so thankful he is my husband. He is the PERFECT husband for me. He would not be the perfect husband for everyone, but for me, he is! Funny how that works, huh?
