Bad Moods... and PUGGLES!!!

Right now I am in a horrible mood. This is why. So in Virginia they don't have an acceleration lane to enter the highway. So you sit waiting to get onto the highway at a complete stop until there is space in the traffic for you to nudge your way in and you quickly accelerate to get up to speed so the people behind you don't hate you since they have to slow down. So the "highway" (akin to the East Beltline... but with entrances and exits like a highway) I take to get home from work is currently one lane only. This makes it increasingly difficult to enter traffic. I'm waiting my turn like a good girl and the idiot behind me is right on my butt and decides to start turning slightly so I can't see the line of traffic. I can't see if there's a hole in the traffic flow or anything! So I try to inch forward to get a better ciew and he does the same! Then he jumps into traffic when there was room for one car between the cars and honks his horn at me and yells "GO!" when he almost collides with the car behind him since they were going the speed limit and there was insufficient room for his vehicle. I almost wish he had been hit and hospitalized. (hey, I said almost!) Then he proceeds to drive under the speed limit... again slowing down traffic. As soon as the road became two lanes me and three cars in front of me passed him. And he had the audacity to honk at ME as he passed me! Hey buddy, you're the one cutting in line and jumping into traffic and then driving under the speed limit. Makes me very aggravated. But I'm trying to let it slide off of me. I'll never see the dude again. And he was a middle aged guy with his kid in the back seat. Slick.

But on the upside, I was on the phone with my sister. And that was good conversation. I have really grown to become friends with my sisters in the past few years. I am 12 and 14 years younger than my sisters so there was always a large maturity gap with our relationships. It was great when I was the cute little kid and they were the cool college students. Then I became an annoying middle schooler (I detest middle schoolers!) and even worse, an obnoxious, disrespectful high schooler. But now, we're friends... most of the time. Hey, we are sisters! But it was a nice conversation. Since we now live 800 miles away we need a good update chat every once in awhile.

Ok... The BIG news! So as long as we move somewhere that allows it (and we're really hoping to find a rental house instead of a townhouse, but no more apartments for us) Matt is planning on getting me a pup for my birthday! It'll probably be whenever we find a new place to live in reality. Which will hopefully be next spring so we can move at the very beginning of the summer. So we've been throwing some ideas out there. We'd both love a German Shepherd, but it really wouldn't be fair (or safe really) to leave the Shepherd all by itself all day while we were working. So we'll wait on that one until we have land for it to run around in and I'm home all day to give it attention and love (and training). So Matt said he would consider a small dog! Accomplishment in itself! I really want a pug, but he HATES pugs. With a passion. I love pugs because of Milo and Otis. I dare you to watch that movie and not want a pug and an orange kitten! It's impossible. So I was researching some other dogs and most of them I loved when they were puppies but not so much when they were dogs. Like Pomeranians. So adorable, and pretty cute when they grow up... but I don't like how their fur spurts out randomly! I know I could groom it... but it's so much upkeep to keep it all nice and short. But that was an option. But today, oh today, I found it! The perfect dog for me! It would even look good if we got a German Shepherd someday and took both of them for walks together! Behold... the PUGGLE!!!!!!

So stinking adorable, right? My friend, Kat, has one and it is so cute! This is it as a puppy... probably just before we could take it home.

And this is one as a dog. See? Still cute!

And hey, our boy, Jake, has one. Thumbs up.

I want one. Badly! I don't want to wait until next summer! I want one RIGHT NOW!!!

I'm working on the husband. It's a lot cuter than a pug so hopefully he'll like it.

And out.
