School's In

First official day of the school year complete! And I didn't even have to take a nap today. Amazing. The first day back could not possibly have gone better! Not one screaming, crying child in early arrival (which I don't do this year, but they do use my room), not one tear shed in my class at drop off, everyone played nicely and since we have a HUGE room there were more than enough toys for all the kids, everyone picked up and washed up well, new friends were made, lunch and nap went smoothly, and the day went by rather quickly! It was a great first day. I thought at least two kids in my class would have tears at drop off! I have been blessed. It was sprinkling slightly at playground time but not enough to bother us. Perfect. And I also love my class. What a great group of kids. I might go so far as to say I have the best class in the school this year! So happy.

I also arranged my schedule so I can make my appointment on Wednesday. Thanks so much to Jodi and Alisa for being flexible and willing to help me out. Hopefully everything will go smoothly and be resolved on Wednesday then.

I got to talk to my sister and mom and dad all today. I feel like I'm really growing up based on my conversations with them. It's more difficult for me to converse maturely with them since I was always the spoiled baby of the family. I'm trying to stamp that out of my person. It definitely helps having lived 800 miles away for four years and being married and independent for over a year. Of course, my parents still spoil Matt and I rotten!

I'm exhausted. I think all that's left to do is set out clothes for tomorrow and head to bed! It's early, but I'm still getting used to a full day without a nap! If I'm going to work a nine hour block, exercise, cook dinner, clean the house, and just be a good wife... Well, there really isn't room for staying up late! I need a good full nights sleep to function properly. Eight hours regularly enough, maybe not every night, but most nights. And next year I want to add grad classes to this schedule? Yeah, we'll see how that works! I could just do one at a time, but would really like to do two at a time. We'll see how organized I can be.

Goodnight. Happy new school year.
