Jane Austen is quickly becoming my favorite author. I have my favorite books, and Emma was always one of them, but I gauge my favorite authors by the number of books of theirs I thoroughly enjoy. Which is why Orson Scott Card is probably my favorite author. I like all his books I've read so far. And my favorite book "The Count of Monte Cristo" is my favorite book but Alexandre Dumas is not my favorite author since I'm not a great fan of "The Picture of Dorian Gray" or "The Three Muskateers", though they are both commendable reads. But yes, Jane Austen is quickly climbing the charts... Which is not at all expected.

I bought and put together a new kitchen cart! I love it. I put our microwave on it and four of our white canisters on top of that. The drawer and cupboards in it give me some extra storage space, which is nice since we don't have a pantry. And there's a drop down edge which I'll use for cooking prep. Now my counter tops are free for my spice rack and tea kettle. I like my new arrangement very much.

I watched "You've Got Mail" tonight. A classic. Matt groaned and declared it "the ultimate chick flick". I had forgotten the magic between Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. It's also one of my favorite soundtracks. I had quite forgotten about it. It's the perfect kitchen music. My friend, Erin, and I used to sing along to the soundtrack over and over again. It must have drove our parents crazy. Especially "signed, sealed, delivered I'm yours... Ahhhhhhhh!" Magical. Romance. Love.

Two of my best friends are falling in love before my eyes. One of my childhood friends is getting married this winter and just bought her first house. Three of my friends had babies in the past two months. All of these events warm my heart. I love my friends. I love their lives. I love their hearts. I have been very blessed.

Good day.
