Today was very productive. I think, at least. I slept in way late but needed it from the previous night's lacking. I woke up around when Matt came home for his lunch break. We feasted on delicious leftovers from the past week and now I can finally start cooking again. I don't like having too many leftovers in the fridge at one time because then food starts going bad and we have to throw it away. I managed to get all the Saturday household chores done before Matt came home from work a few hours later.

Later in the afternoon we went to Target. Anyone who knows my mom knows that she is a giver. She loves to give give give. I received a box from her with some fabulous finds. She sent me two Kate Spade purses (one that I am currently using and probably will for awhile. It's fabulous), a Ralph Lauren purse, and yet another Coach purse. She finds great deals on them and sends them my way. She sent a few others goodies but also a gift card to Target. Too good to wait on. So we went out to see what we could find. There was some furniture I was interested in and some kitchen items I would like to have... but we settled on things Matt and I could both enjoy. A small DVD player since our PS3 hasn't been all that reliable. Plus now we'll be able to keep one in the bedroom fulltime so we can both use a TV if we don't want to watch or play the same movie or game. We also got a new antennae. Hopefully it'll work so we can get local channels! Woot. We've gone too long without TV. We haven't been able to figure it out tonight, but we'll keep fiddling with it and hopefully we'll have TV. I miss watching the news and being aware of what's going on in the world. We also bought LOST season 4 and it was even on sale. Bonus. Matt saw Se7en in the checkout and we had to pick that up too. I also got a little notebook for my lesson plans for the next school year and some blush. And we only went 13 cents over our gift card! Amazing. It was a good day.

We hooked up the DVD player and started LOST. Hopefully sometime this next week Matt will be able to get the antennae working. Tomorrow he works a double shift (yuck) but then has three days off in a row. Thursday might be another double. The money sure is nice, but I miss him all day long.

I finally caught up on all my reading and am now only reading one book, The Road To Oz. I actually started this one a long time ago but I had read the previous six books straight in  a row so needed an Oz break. Now I'm hoping to finish the series. Well, at least Volume 1 of the Chronicles before taking another break. I feel like too many people don't realize that there are 14 amazing Oz books out there. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is just the first. So much else happens.

I think I decided to keep my hair long for awhile longer. I do like it long. I feel like it makes me look prettier, as opposed to short hair making me look older. For now I can handle looking my age. I'm about to be 22... sounds old. But then again, not really. When I turn 25 I'll probably have a meltdown of some sort. But hopefully we'll have a child by then. That will help the aging process I think. I want to have my first child when I'm 24. We'll see if I get my way.

It's late and I still haven't done the dishes today. I try to do them at the end of the day so they're all done when I go to bed. I think I might leave them until tomorrow though. Since it's only two of us there aren't a lot to do. And since Matt will be gone from 10 am - 11 pm tomorrow, I'll have plenty of time to fill with chores. And there won't be many dishes to do.

I forgot to turn off the burner from dinner... again. I set a cooking sheet on top of it and forgot all about it. So now, our new cooking sheet we bought to replace the others that were messed up from previous incidents has a nice burn mark. Hopefully it won't smell everytime I used it. Maybe I'll use some of my birthday money to go buy some good ones. Hopefully that will make me be more careful about these kinds of things.

Goodness, I'm very tired. And it's barely past 9! I'm getting old.

Cheers.
