I had an extremely lazy day. All the things on my to-do list didn't get done. I slept in. Did the laundry. Read about three pages of Paradise Lost. Searched through facebook for... a long time. Watched Underworld: Rise of the Lycans with Matt. Went for a beautiful walk. And had delicious Chinese food for dinner. Hmmm... I must have done more today than that because that wouldn't have taken up a whole day. Oh well, I'm not worried about it. Basically, it's summer.
I found a little caterpillar on myself this evening. Post walk. It was one of those iddle baby green ones. It scrunched itself all up making it difficult to hold onto. That being it's intent of course. It was pretty cute. But still icky, I don't like bugs. Matthew wanted to give it to Emily to play with. But I made him put it outside. The little guy deserves a chance. Last night we found Emily playing with a daddy long legs. I detest spiders with my entire being. She killed it on the first pounce. Then proceeded to play with it for a good while. When I thought she might eat it I made Matt throw it away. No nasty spiders in my kittens belly!
Leviticus is such a... difficult read. To put it nicely. Some of it is interesting. It sure makes me more thankful for Christ's sacrifice. I don't know how I would handle animal sacrifices. I would be unclean all my days! Speaking of Christ's sacrifice, that is covered in Paradise Lost as well. Milton has some interesting notions on how everything went down way back when. Of course, it's just speculation, but it sure makes you think.
I am currently on a CoCo Krispies kick. I get on cereal kicks. I'll eat that cereal at least two times a day until I'm sick of it. Then I won't be able to eat it for a good long while. I'm only on box two of CoCo Krispies... so I think I'll be on this kick for at least the next month. Mmm, are they good!
I wanted to add some color to my finger and toe nails today. That never got done. Oh well. They've been clear and boring since the beginning of June. I didn't have a color that matched my dress or shoes for Jon and Andrea's wedding, so I just went with clear gloss. Boring. Oh well.
I dread church hunting. I might give it a break for a bit and podcast it. We'll see. I still have some on my list to check out. And there's always Redeemer since it's 5 minutes down the road.
Mmm, CoCo Krispies it is. A late night snack.
