First off... I am so excited it is June. June used to be my second least favorite month of the year (the first being September). June was a horrid in between month where nothing spectacular ever happened, except the start of summer vacation from school. Now, I look forward to June almost more than December and the coming of Christmas! Funny how one event can make or break an entire month. I guess it's a good thing we got married in June. The poor month had nothing else going for it!

We made it home last night. We woke up at 6:00 am and were in GR by 8:15. We had to make our stops a little longer than usual to let the cat out of the car. She needed exercise and we didn't put food or water out for her during the ride. That's right, we drove from Virginia to Michigan with our precious kitten! She did alright. The first hour she meowed the entire time and was all aggravated and scared. She hid under our seats for a bit then started coughing and wheezing, not a good sign. I brought her up and sat her on my lap for most of the rest of the trip. For the next 3 hours she was hyperventilating, but not meowing. I was worried she would pass out. After lunch she seemed to settle down and the last 2 hours of the trip she was perfectly happy in the car. She liked watching things go past the windows and would wander all around. We had a litter box in the car that she used twice, but we covered it up in between uses to cover up the strong litter smell (it does a great job covering up the excrement smell but it's super strong itself). One time we didn't notice she had to go so she wet the cushion we brought for her. She meowed horribly right after she did it because she was all wet and her seat was all wet. Thankfully, she didn't do anything on the car seat! So we cleaned her up and tried to wipe up the cushion as much as possible. Overall, it was a good trip. We met my family at Golden Wok for dinner. My tum is very satisfied. Emily went home with my sister and her boys. She then called and asked if I could come over because Emily was freaking out. I did... and she was... and it was torture for me! My mom said that if Emily isn't settled in a couple days we can bring her to the house. But I don't want her destroying my parents house. So we'll see. Emily did not like the noise the boys made, she was super scared, she did not like Atticus (my sister's cat), and she hissed for the first time in her life. I didn't know she knew how to hiss because she's never done it! It broke my heart to hear it. Apparently after I left Emily saw her reflection in the mirror and started hissing at it too! Maybe Matt and I shouldn't get a new kitten after all. Emily likes being the queen of the house. Hopefully she will get used to Atticus and be ok there for the rest of the week .

My parents new house is fabulous! Absolutely fabulous. They decorated it beautifully. Perfect for them and their new lifestyle as empty nesters.

I went out with three of my dearest friends this morning for breakfast. I'm about to go out with my college roomie for coffee. Later my entire family is coming over to grill and hang out. Then Matt and I are going out with the bride and groom! It will be a full and wonderful day. I just love love love being home. I honestly don't want to go back to Virginia! Only three more years. Then we'll be moving back here for good. Hopefully.

Oh yes, one more little tidbit. We get to my parents new house and they're giving me the tour. I see a pile of very nice purses in my mom's office. She apparently found some great deals so picked them all up for me! An adorable pink and white polka dot Kate Spade, a beautiful Louis Vuitton satchel bag, a Nine West doctor's satchel with matching wallet and phone case and coin purse, and (drumroll) a huge and beautiful black Coach bag with a multi colored scarf! Scream! I was so excited! Now my coach collection is complete. I wanted a black one since none of mine really matched (I have two brown purses and two white with multi colored C's or stripes) black attire. It's prefect. Yes, I have the best mom! She always finds amazing deals. I can't wait to use them all!

It has been a great morning so far. This week will go by too quickly, I'm sure.
