I am officially on Spring Break! Finally!
What was the first thing I did on spring break? I am quite proud of this. I went for a wonderfully refreshing run in the beautiful sunshine! That's right, I, Rebecca Iveson, went for a run! If you know me at all you know how much I despise running. I prefer other forms of cardio. But I'm trying to get into the habit. We'll see how my goal of a run a day during spring break (as long as the weather stays nice) holds up. We'll just see.
I then got home, drank about three giant glasses of water in less than 20 seconds, and saw my phone flashing. I received an email about a job opening for the city of Lynchburg! You bet I jumped right on the computer and filled out the application and sent along my resume. I just have to keep praying something will work out! I'd love to work for the city. But now that we're thinking of moving after one more year, who knows what kinds of jobs I'll be able to find. The preschool is pretty perfect. I just wish I made a little more money. So we'll see if this one reaps any rewards!
I read about five chapters of Moby Dick last night before bed. My goal is to finish it over spring break. That way I can continue my way down my book list unimpeded. No more of this reading a little, put it down and read a different book business.
Tonight I have Bible Study. I really have enjoyed studying through Esther. I am also reading through Job on my own. And of course, since it is Passion Week, I have been reading the accounts of this last week of Christ's earthly ministry in each of the gospels.
Time for a belated lunch. Then hopefully my Matthew will be home from work!
It's been a great first day of spring break!
