Happy Good Friday! Christ crucified for our sins. The perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world. If the story ended here it would be the saddest story ever told. But we know that it is indeed "The Greatest Story Ever Told". Just wait, the best is yet to come.
It has been a fabulous day off for me. I am loving spring break 2009! It is so nice to have a relaxing break after a semester of hard work with children and sniffling noses and sll other forms of sicknesses. It will be nice to sleep in and rest and shop and explore the greater Lynchburg area.
This morning was the first time in a long time that Matthew and I got to spend our morning together. I work every morning during the week and he works mornings on the weekends. It was so nice to wake up together and make a delicious breakfast. Breakfast really is our favorite meal of the day, but we generally have to resort to cereal or toast.
We then headed out for a afternoon of shopping. I got two long cardigans in grey and black. They are adorable and so comfortable. I also got a tan short sleeved cardigan. We then bought Matthew a new Smartphone and signed him up with AllTel, the same service I have. His phone is Motorola and is synced with windows so it will be ideal for his grad school. We both have unlimited texts, internet, email use, and my circle. My sisters, mom, and I see on a family plan so I don't have to pay for my service. It worked out quite perfectly. Matt's phone is black but comes in a green version also, I wanted that one! But I am quite satisfied with my blackberry. As long as my mom is paying for my plan I'm not worried about getting a plan with Matt.
We had a few other places we wanted to go, but decided to just come home to work on programming matt's new phone.
Now I am nannying, but I officially have next week off! Hooray! I have big plans for next week. When I get home tonight we're going out to TGI Fridays for dinner because my work have me a 10$ off coupon. Yay! It has been a wonderful day.
I am 200 pages into Moby Dick. I think I can finish it over spring break if I really out my mind to it. It is getting more interesting. And then after spring break my parents are coming for a couple days on their way to Nashville! I am so excited for them to come. I miss home, a lot.
I am even more excited for June! I am excited to see my parents, sisters, brothers, nephews, niece, cousins, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and friends! Plus I am all about weddings and we'll be part of one of our best friends weddings! It will be a great vacation!
Matt and I were talking last night about how we have almost been married for one whole year. Nothing really seems that different from when we were dating. We had been together for so long that our relationship was pretty well established even prior to marriage. We have grown so much closer through our marriage. I am so thankful for our open hearts to all God has been teaching us. It has been a great first year of marriage. I look forward to many more that just keep getting better and better as we go.
Have a wonderful Easter weekend!
