Another rainy day in March. I love the rain, but it does make the kids antsy. Little kids need to go run around outside during school. It's the teachers who pay if they don't. Thankfully, today the rain held off until school was done. It was also spring picture day. All the little boys and girls were all dressed up. The boys had combed over hair and ties and the girls wore bright spring dresses. I would be tempted to send my kids to a school with uniforms just to have cute pictures of them! We'll see about schools someday. Definitely private and Christian. Best decision Matthew and my parents made.
I was planning on having a high school musical movie marathon tonight because Matthew is working evening shift (he'll get home at around 11:45) and I'm feeling terrible once again. So it will be on the couch all evening for me. I might borrow the HSM movies from Peter, but I might just content myself with Gilmore Girls. We'll see. I've never seen any of the HSM movies and haven't felt the desire too until recently. I figure I should give them the chance even if I decide I still don't like them. At least I'll know.
I miss my friends. I hate comflicting schedules. It was so easy when we saw each other in high school everyday, or when we were only a few doors apart in college. Now life is so much more complicated. Plans are necessary in order to get any face time. And I feel like I always have to cancel plans because I get sick so easily from the kids at school. Life just gets more difficult as we age. But it's definitely not all bad. Marriage is the plus I always remind myself of when I get sad about not seeing my friends as much. At least I get to see my best friend everyday still.
I have rediscovered some elemental tastes of childhood. Cheetos and spaghetti-o's! I love them both and have not had either since high school! I was missing out. I figure I should get in all the kiddy food now before I actually have kids. My parents never ate Kraft macaroni with me, or other unhealthy easy prep meals. So I feel like I should make these microwavable treats for my children, and a healthy salad for myself. Something more grown up. I don't know if this is ridiculous, but that's my thought process.
Well, almost time for the work week to be officially over. Hooray.
