Today was, ah, such a day. I awoke hoping for a snow day, even though there were only slight flurries in the sky. No snow day. The kitten and I sat at the kitchen window awhile watching the snow fall. It was her first snow. She loved it.
School was fine in the morning. We had a small class as the city schools were closed for a teacher work day. Those children with older siblings stayed home. It was nice and low key. Just what I needed when I felt like going back to bed.
After lunch, that's just what I did. Lovely things, naps are. I appreciate them more and more the older I get. The kitten stayed with me awhile, but she gets feisty when she's been sleeping for awhile. I nannyed for only an hour tonight which was a nice relief.
We went in search of food and entertainment. Qe rented Burn After Reading because of Clooney and Pitt. Horrible movie. Don't rent it. Waste of time. Extrememly foul in all aspects, not slightly amusing, horrible. Disgusting actually. That's the problem when you don't see any previews for movies. You have no idea what you're watching until it's too late. That's how Matt and I ended up seeing The Hills Have Eyes when it was in theatres. We were bored and hadn't heard anything about it. Bad choice.
But we did stumble across something refreshing. I own season 2 of LOST. But we never felt the need to buy season 1, until recently. We found it for 20$ at blockbuster. Great find. We'll probably end up finishing off the series eventually, but for now we're content with the first two seasons. I got a little bored during season 3. For now we're happy with Friends, Gilmore Girls, and 24.
It's not even 10 and I'm thinking of going to bed. I must be an old geezer or something. Terrible.
I hope school is closed tomorrow. I'll still nanny, but it would be so nice to have a relaxing morning after sleeping in. Matt doesn't have to work tomorrow either. Delightful.
Praying for snow and sleet and ice!
