Matthew didn't like the title "Team Iveson". So I changed things around for him. I got the idea of our family being a "team" when I started thinking about having children someday. I want nothing more than to be a soccer mom... or ballet mom... whatever my kids decide they want to participate in really. Everyone in our family will have to be a team player. We will always support each other no matter what happens. But since we don't have kids yet, Matt thought "Team Iveson" sounded silly. I think I like our new web address much better anyways. Because we were indeed established on 060708. A perfect date.
Matthew is about to go back to work after his lunch break. I have spent the morning sleeping in, playing with the kitten, working out in the living room, and I've started cleaning the house. I still have some straightening up to do. I enjoy keeping our home nice and neat. It makes it easy to do the actual cleaning on the weekends if I do little things throughout the week. I try not to vacuum too much throughout the week though because the kitten doesn't like all the noise. She's finally gotten used to the sound of my hair dryer in the mornings though. And I always do laundry on Saturdays. Without fail. It keep our closets nice and organized and we always have lots of options to choose from. I don't know how I used to go two months without doing my laundry. We have plenty of clothes, but I hate not being able to wear something just because it's dirty. I'd much rather keep things clean on a regular basis.
Last night I lay down for a nap... and didn't wake up till this morning! I should have known better than to try to take a nap at 8:00 pm when I've had a long and busy week. I definitely feel refreshed now. I just have to get back into the swing of things and having a daily schedule. I did alright this past week. I didn't feel too extremely tired during the days and got to bed in decent shape each night. I worked out more than I normally do in the middle of the week. Must be some good resolution keeping on my part... except for the fact that I didn't make any resolutions this year. I just want to get fit again. This past year I really let myself go. I stopped going to the gym and only did exercises in my room a every so often- meaning every other week or so. I didn't really gain much weight, but certain areas on my body have loosened up some. Thankfully, for me being out of shape means running an eight minute mile and not having my splits to the ground anymore. So it's not as bad as I make it sound. I just feel slow and lagging. Plus working out is a high. It gives me so much more energy for the rest of the day. We might buy me an elliptical machine for the living room. I'd put it where our tree was. We were thinking about just getting gym memberships, but there's not much else I'd have to use there that I don't have here. I don't like using the weight machines. But Matt of course wants to use all the weights. We'll see what happens. I'd love an elliptical machine for our home. We found one that isn't badly priced that I'd like a lot.
Well, time to go finish cleaning the house. Matt will be home in about an hour for the rest of the day so I'd like to get everything done before he gets home. I have to do the dishes, clean the bathroom, make our bed, and finish up the laundry. I can do all that in an hour.
Blessings for the nice and restful weekend!
