I was feeling pretty low the past couple nights. No particular reason. Just a few little irritants in my life that seem to bog me down. My wonderful husband took me to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner last night, Milano's, and that helped. It is so nice to get amazing food, good atmosphere, and a relief from cooking. I have had some good talks with my mom and dad the past few nights since I usually get in a chatty mood about everything in life when I'm low. I've read a book a day the past week since that is usually a good outlet also. So good things come from dreariness.

But all that changed today. Shopping... the ultimate mood boosters. I wanted some new clothes but didn't want to spend a lot of money. So... goodwill! I have a love/hate relationship with goodwill. Back home I can usually spend 100$ at goodwill because I always find good stuff. I'm careful to check for stains, worn items, and fading color... but I generally find some keepers. The goodwill we went to today is so unorganized. The clothes aren't divided by size or style. Very frustrating. But I did manage to find some good items. I even found a few items that still have the original tags and stickers on them! I love it when that happens. I probably could have browsed for awhile longer, but Matt was getting antsy and as a general rule of thumb, the mens section at goodwill is never very good.

We then went to Walmart because Matt wanted a Rubiks cube. Of course, we also went away with some form of media. We decided to finally cave in and buy the Planet Earth series. Last year we became fascinated with Animal Planet and the Discovery Chanel. We saw a few episodes of Planet Earth and thought it was beautiful and interesting. So now we have all 550 minutes of it to enjoy.

Then the ultimate mood booster. We got home to find a package on our front steps. There was only one thing it could be! My Valentine's present! (which Matthew so graciously decided to allow me to use now instead of having to wait another few weeks!) My new Coach purse and matching wallet we ordered! Yay! It is so fabulous. We found it on ebay since I don't really care for any of the purses currently available. I always check ebay anyways since there are a lot of good auctions of little to no wear on the the products and even new with tags. When I saw this auction I knew it was perfect. It is the exact purse I wanted back in April, but back then I had no reason to buy a new purse. It is a beautiful brown signature bag. It has one leather handle (which I love since I'm sick of having one strap fall off my shoulder), a nifty front pocket, a full zipper across the top. It is medium size which is perfect and I had originally wanted the small since it would have been plenty large for everything I need. The matching wallet is beautiful and also has a removeable matching checkbook cover. It is exactly what I wanted but I wasn't anticipating being able to find it since it was retired this summer. I am beyond excitement. Everything fits perfectly inside it with room to spare. My husband is just too good to me. I never would've expected him to get me a Coach purse and wallet for Valentine's Day. Maybe just a small wallet, but this is a nice long one. Perfect. I just love him. He spoils me way too much though.

I know, I shouldn't let material things determine my mood so much. But I'm a girly girl, what can I say?

One more day to the work week! Hoorah!

Have a fabulous weekend.
