Happy inauguration day. Congratulations once again President Obama. I've decided to come into these next 4 years with a very positive attitude. I think Obama has a very good chance of being a great president. Only time will tell. I don't think there ever would have been a chance of a republican winning the race, and the only major issues I have with Obama right now are typical democratic viewpoints. So it would have been a problem whoever was elected. We'll see what Obama does in the years to come. There were things I respected about Clinton. It could be a great couple of years. I'm trusting in the American public to make the right choices about abortion and gay marriage. Although, according to most people it really is time for change. Well, it just means the rest of us need to stand up for what we believe in so people don't just jump onto band wagons.

On a different note. Apparently school was delayed this morning because it was supposed to snow. Last night was not particularly cold and this morning there wasn't even frost on my car. Absolutely zero signs of snow. So I didn't even think to check. Well, one child showed up at 7:30 and no one else and no other teachers. I thought about a delay or closing. I just figured I'd have to stay with the one kid until their parent showed up later. Of course, it was just a delay so there wasn't a big problem. Now I'm going to check school closings every morning. Just because in Michigan we would never have been closed today or any day like this, I need to get used to the fact that I'm in Virginia now. It was some nice one-on-one time between me and Charlotte. We made some pretty pictures and of course made up stories to go with those pictures.

Alright. Time for a nap since today was one of my early days. I haven't been sleeping very soundly the past few nights. My kitty just snuggled up next to me. She's adorable.

Happiness.
