I just love Saturdays. Tomorrow I work my last shift in the St. John's nursery. The extra Christmas money was nice, but I'm looking forward to going to actual church services again. Then it's back to the usual schedule. Day school, home, nanny, home, dinner, relax, bed. So exciting, I know. But I'll be glad for something to do again. It has been a nice break. I look forward to Easter/ spring break. It can't come soon enough.
Today I did my usual Saturday cleaning. I still need to make our bed since I did the laundry, but the kitten is taking a nap right now. And of course, I can't disturb her. Yes, she's that spoiled. She's been taking a nap for the better part of the day. Oh for the life of a cat. I think she'll miss me when I go back to work. She tends to get lonely when we leave her alone for too long. So I cleaned and finally put all the Christmas stuff away. Now our house looks nice and clean and tidy. All I need to do now is find suitable items to take the empty spaces left by our Christmas decor. I'm up for the challenge. I am very glad we're back to using our old dishes. I love our snowmen dishes, but they are heavy and it takes longer to wash them. I'll be so thankful for a dishwasher when we move. That is a per requisite to our next home.
Speaking of homes, Matthew is now determined to go to school in Michigan so bye bye plans for new York. Of well, I wasn't that attached. Good news. If he goes to school near GR we'll probably buy a house! Yay! Ok news. If we move to Ann arbor we'll probably still rent because we don't want to risk buying and not being able to re sell later. Sigh. Either way I suppose we'll have a good home. I have built in my mind our next rental or our first house. So I'm excited either way. Only this last semester at the school, then I'll work on my masters and sign a one year contract with another employee beginning this summer. Then next summer, hopefully we'll be moving back home! Yay! I'm very excited. And maybe after the move and we get settled, baby time! We'll see.
I dread working the nursery tomorrow. It's an easy $60 but I have to wake up early and sometimes no kids even come. Oh well. I guess it's not so bad getting paid to read a book. Next week I plan on starting a true church hunt.
Night.
