Happy long weekend! My 4-day weekend has turned into an incredible 4-day weekend! School was called off yesterday afternoon. I was so thankful for some extra time to sleep in. I have a conference to go to tomorrow morning so an extra day to sleep in is a definite plus.

Last night was exactly what I needed to bring me back to feeling 100%. I got a chance to talk to my closest friends and had many laughs- my voice was a little hoarse when I ended up going to bed! Grammy's was so much fun, as always. I am so thankful I got to spend some time with Savannah and Kristin before Savannah headed back home. Who knows when the next time we'll all be together again will be? Possibly Steph's wedding, but I highly doubt I'll be able to make it down there for it. I hate being a grown up. It would be so much easier if I were still in college and could just skip a few days of class. Actually, I'd be out of school by then and wouldn't have any problems. Why can't preschools close the same time as colleges? Urg. Anyways, it was a great time at Grammy's and I made some new friends in the process. I came home and got a wonderful call from my dearest Mabsy. Neither her nor I are phone people so it makes it difficult when we live so far away from each other. Sometimes I feel like I have no idea what's going on with my best friend... not good. We came up with a new system so hopefully we'll keep on top of each others lives better. I'm trying to convince her to move down here sometime. How i would love to be neighbors with her! And by neighbors, I mean live within 50 miles of each other.

So I slept in this morning, had a nice long devotional, and worked out first thing. I did some slight cleaning since my morning is full tomorrow when I normally clean. This way I'll only have laundry to do tomorrow. It's so nice having a day off. I keep thinking it's Saturday but then I remember that the real weekend hasn't even begun! A wonderful thought. I am nannying this afternoon, but that's a good thing since i get paid every Friday in cash. I always like having a little extra cash handy.

Tomorrow one of my closest friends is getting married. Ben and Lindsay have waited so long for this. I am so bummed I can't make it home. If i would have known we'd have a five day weekend I would've considered driving home today and spending the weekend with family. Oh well. Too late now. They will have an absolutely gorgeous wedding. Lindsay is one of the most fashionable girls I know. I am so excited to see pictures. Not as many people are getting married this year as I had anticipated. I guess that means next year will be the year for weddings since I know a bunch of people who will be getting engaged in the next few months. Ssshhh... no names.

Matt should be home from work in a few minutes. He has such a lovely day schedule. Hopefully he'll only work days soon. The transition period is not fun at all. What a beautiful day. It is rather chilly, but I have a nice warm down coat so I'm not too worried.

Happy Weekend.
