Working as a preschool teacher and nannying has given me a nice picture of motherhood. At the school we have ages 1-5. A pretty good foundation. Peter, who I nanny, is 8 and in second grade. It gives me a good vantage point on all the ages. I know I am definitely putting my kids in preschool at age 3 for a partial week program. Hopefully I'll be able to teach them enough security and independence by then that they won't cry and scream when I drop them off. But seriously, the kids at our school are so much farther along academically and socially then other kids I babysit etc. Who don't go to preschool. It also prepares them for school. Of course, I might become a clingy mom who doesn't want to leave her kids ever... But by the time the first one is 3 we'll probably have at least one more so it might be nice to have a slight break. We'll see. I'm glad for the experience I'm getting though.

I am sitting at the YMCA right now waiting for Peter to get out of basketball camp. I am excited for my kids playing sports. I hope they choose one sport and stick with it and not play everything one season then switching like me. Although, I did play tennis from 3rd grade all the way through highschool. I didn't keep up with my lessons all that time, but I knew I was going to play. I hope my girls are ballerinas. I won't force it, but I'll definitely encourage it.

It's days like these when I want to be a mommy so badly. Soon. It will be here before I know it.

My husband bought me three surprise books yesterday. I actually picked them out, but they were my "surprises" since I let him get some new videogames. I like this system. So now I have to finish my current book, but then I'm diving into my new books! So excited!

The end. Until basketball is finished for the day.
