I updated all my photo albums on facebook so I figured it was time for a slight photo update here.
Matthew and I at our Thanksgiving Dinner. I made dinner on Saturday after Thanksgiving (yesterday) since Matt worked on Thanksgiving Day. We are so excited to try all the yummy smelling food.
Our stuffed plates! We had chicken instead of turkey because we both think turkey is too dry. Fresh rolls. Steamed veggies. Potatoes with chease sauce. Stuffing. Green bean casserole. And raspberry pie for dessert. And of course, root beer to drink. Also my beautiful new snowflake candle holders for Christmas. You can't see them very well in this picture because they are glass and the placemat underneath them is dark. Oh well. I still like them.
Emily kitty licking up our scraps. She had her fill of chicken too. I read an article on kitties diets and it's ok for us to feed her our food as long as it's nutritious. So she got her own little plate of Thanksgiving Dinner.
A teenie tiny wishbone! I bought a chicken just the right size for two! I won the break!
Our first Christmas tree. I am very proud of it. It is the perfect size and it is beautiful. I put it all up myself. We have new red, ivory, and gold baubles with clear twinkle bubble lights. I love bubble lights. We had them around the tent at our reception only golf ball size instead of pea size. I like bubble lights much better than typical Christmas lights. Much less harsh.
My new black bookshelf which is already full of books. So when I buy new books I will have to buy another bookshelf. Oh dear. And my husband already owes me three books for a "surprise"! I decorated it for Christmas. My wooden nativity scene from my Israel trip freshman year. My snowflake snowglobe from Laura, my college roomie. And my Crayola collection ornaments. I have 21 of them right now, one for each year of my life. And the new one is soon to be added.
I don't take advantage of the photo application on here enough. I always take pictures. I should do photo updates far more often.
Once again, Happy Birthday Matthew! I'm going to finish this current episode of Gilmore Girls then read some more of Ozma of Oz. I'm working my way right through the Chronicles. I might take a break to read something else for awhile though. There's just so much Oz I can take at one time.
Tomorrow it's back to work, back to school. I'm sick of sitting around the house. It's time to go back. And I miss the kids. I hope it's a good week. Only a couple more weeks until Christmas break! I have two weeks off. Hooray!
Happy work week.
