I think I need to get a membership at the Y. When I drop Peter off the kind young men who have the sign in sheet often have some very nice things to say. They strike up a fast conversation and smile all charmingly... Then when I reach for the clipboard they are the ring on my left finger. Sorry boys. It's funny to see how fast their demeanor changes. I wonder if they think Peter is mine. That means I was 13 when I had him! Not likely. But it is a nice boost in ego for me to know I've still got it. 6 months later and I'm already feeling like an old married woman. And there's nothing wrong with that! I am a very happy old married woman.
I have been debating cutting my hair another couple inches since my hair has been growing a lot. Or simply growing it out and adding lots of layers again. Of keeping it the length it is but cutting it all one length. Or simply adding longish bangs, to be swept aside or hung straight. There are so many options for hair. I simply don't know what to do. Right now I'm leaning to long, layered, no bangs. But Matt would like long with bangs. Oh well. I've tried bangs every time it took me to grow them back out. They're finally the same length as the rest of my hair and I'm thinking about cutting them again. Is that really the choice I want to make? I don't really think so. I think bangs make my face long rounder, which is contrary to what you would think isn't it? But each time I've gone the bangs way I've immediately decided to grow them back out. I should just leave them long and have a nice clear forehead. No dark straight bangs, since my hair is beyond straight.
I know, the many problems of Rebecca Iveson! Oh my goodness! Hair! What to do. So it's not such a big issue, but it sure seems like it sometimes.
I'm working my way through Lewis' space trilogy again. I really like the first two books, the third not so much. It makes me think of the ender books though. I might have to read them all again. Even though I just finished the bean books in the last couple months. Oh well, that was about 10 books ago so it might be time. They are among my favorites.
It is Tuesday today. Only 3 more days and then a glorious Christmas break! I don't have to nanny tomorrow or Thursday either. So a few short hours in the morning and the rest of the day is mine! I'm going to look for a coat rack. I would really like a nice wooden one with umbrella slots too, but those tend to be too expensive for my current budget- Christmas shopping and all. I might have to resort to one you hang on the wall, which will be fine. I'll go looking tomorrow. I just want one so that when my in-laws come over (and any other company we ever have) have someplace to hang their coats. Instead of just over the chair or on the floor. Good idea I think.
Iveson out.
Nope, still don't like it. Ryan seacrest is... Well, he's a lot of very interesting things. He's just an interesting fellow.
