It's that time of year. Well, actually it's a those times of year.
It's the time of year for jolly-ness and fat men in big red suits.
It's the time of year for christmas shopping.
It's the time of year for sparkling lights and inflatable nonsense.
It's that time of year for boxes of tissues and cups of hot drinks to soothe the inevitable cold.
It's that time of year for Matthew to have a birthday.
It's that time of year when we celebrate the greatest gift ever given, Jesus Christ.
Bunches of times of year. And all for the next few weeks. Oh how I love it. Except this horrible cold I've picked up. Lots of tissues. Lots of hot showers. Lots of hot drinks. Lots of headaches. But I have super cute new gloves with matching hat! So I'm all set to face the cold weather. Or something.
I'm getting ready to send out my save-the-dates. We'll be printing postcards of one of our engagement pictures and mailing them out in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully people should get them before Christmas. I hope they don't fall in the snow or anything so the ink gets smudged. We'll see. If they do it's not the end of the world. I'm sure everyone who is getting invited already knows about the wedding. This is just an extra date saver for those of us who forget to mark out calendars for such important events.
I am getting more and more excited for this wedding. Everything is falling into place perfectly. I'm a little stressed because I don't have everyone's addresses yet, but they're coming in every day so everything should be set by the time I'm mailing out my postcards. My dress is perfect. I keep having doubts, but each time I try it on I'm more impressed with it than the last time. And everyone keeps telling me they love it too. So that gives me some hope.
I'm also getting even more excited for our marriage. We're growing more each day and I am so thankful for the direction God has led us. I believe that we'll have a good solid marriage and our first few years will be absolutely incredible. Even through the hard times that are bound to happen.
Time to finish the project I meant to finish over break! Thankfully, I don't have my internship anymore so I have all of today to finish it so I can turn it in tomorrow.
