Christmas is coming the goose is getting fat, please put a penny in the old man's hat. If you haven't got a penny, a hay-penny will do. If you haven't got a hay- penny then God bless you!
How long ago was it that those words were sung at the annual Children's Christmas musical at GRBS? Those were the good ole days. Good times, funny songs, and quirky motions. A bunch of kids singing and dancing and trying not to cry as their choir teacher scolded them for being... well... children. Those were the days. I miss those days, as crazy as it sounds.
2007 is almost here. Wasn't it just Y2K? That big scare seems like just yesterday. I remember buying some extra water bottles and having my first glass of champagne. I didn't care for it much. But it was exciting to say the least. And absolutely nothing happened. The electric companies could of at least gotten creative and cut a few power lines to cause a couple minute long black-outs.
God is bigger than the air I breathe. The air I breathe. People say that God is like the air. We can't see it, we just have to believe it's there. We can feel it and we need it to live, but we still can't see it. I don't like that illustration much. Scientists can pick apart the air, oxygen. They use it to form other things that can be seen. And it can be destroyed or rebuilt. That is no where near God. God is indestructible. God cannot be destroyed or created. He needs no one and nothing. He simply is. He is everything. There is only Him and He is all that matters. God is not like the air. God is like God. Plain and simple. And someday, I hate to break it to ya, but you will see Him. And if you haven't before believed that He is real, it will come as quite a shock to you, I suppose. But the day I see my Lord and Savior will be the most glorious day in all my life. I cannot wait to embrace my God and praise His name forevermore.
My best friend, Jesus, He's pretty much amazing. You should ask Him to be your friend too. He'd absolutely love that. You'd be welcomed into a loving family and all the angels will dance and sing for joy. All for you. All you have to do is ask .
