Today was an exceptionally good day. I woke up early and say outside in the sunshine for a while. My skin is in desperate need of some summer color! It has been far too long since I've had a nice tan. Last summer I rarely was outside. This summer will be different. I came inside and worked out for about two hours. Hoping to get nice and lean. How refreshing. I ate some brunch after that to give me some more energy and jumped in a refreshing and cool shower. I read in my magazine that cold showers make your skin tighter. I'll only take a cold shower if I'm really hot though.

Our landlord came to check on our toilet. It has been acting funny for about eight months now! We were just too lazy to get it fixed. Hopefully now it will start refilling immediately. Then I straightened up the house- it's amazing how much gets out of place in one day! Then I caught up on some correspondence with old friends. Of course, I read out of all my books for a bit. And then say down for a snack and a few episodes of Gilmore Girls while I waited for Matt to get home from work. He's working overtime this week. We could sure use the money!

When he got home we had a nice long nap. We played with the kitten for awhile after that. She's been pretty needy lately. I don't know what her problem is. Good thing we love her. I made a delicious dinner! I thought up my own recipe for this cheesy chicken dish. Let's just say Matt and I we're both impressed with how delicious it turned out! I need to experiment more often. I also made stuffing to go with it, which is one of my favorite sides. And I made vanilla pudding for dessert. Yum. We watched Kung Fu Panda while we ate. I'm glad Matt likes it too, even though it's a kiddie movie. So cute and funny!

Now I might watch some more Gilmore Girls. They're pretty addicting! Matt is setting up all the programs on his new computer. Last night nothing was working on his computer. Needless to say, we were both pretty frustrated. But I think things are working now. Good! We'll have to return a few parts we ordered that don't work, but it turns out we don't need them anyways. I'll be glad to get that money back.

Mmm. Even though it's summer, there's always room for a good cup of vanilla tea. It's stormed this evening. Perfect tea weather. Of course, for me, any weather is good tea weather.

Cheers.

Happy July. And happy 7th birthday Noah Ryan Winter! My second eldest nephew.
