For some reason my Firefox and Explorer aren't working. That doesn't make me too happy. Oh well. I keep forgetting how much I like Safari. I suppose one of these days I'll make it my default browser... but not today.

Good news! I finished Moby Dick. I think the version I read before was an abridgment, because I don't remember the last reading being nearly this tedious! The last 50 pages kept me spellbound as they chased and fought the White Whale. So it is true, it just kept getting better and better as it progressed. So I do, in fact, recommend it. If you can get through the first 200 pages then you'll be in for an enjoyable read. But I don't think I'll be reading any other whaling books... ever again.

This is our Easter picture. It was a beautiful day and I liked my outfit, compliments of The Gap. So I dragged Matthew outside for some Easter pictures.
We did the cutesy boy carrying girl pose. My skirt is floppy, but I still like the picture! This is off the corner of our driveway. It's so green and beautiful in Virginia! My grandma sent me an email saying the ice is finally all melted off their lake in Northern Michigan! And we're trying to move back home? Away from the green-ness? Crazy.
I wanted to clear off my kitchen counters since they were so busy with kitchen appliances. I spruced it up a bit by nailing our measuring cups onto the wall! Cute! And my potted tulip plant was an Easter present from the lead teacher in my class, Carol! She is so thoughtful.
On our way to Roanoke for the day during my Spring Break! It was such a fun day! We rarely have an entire day to spend together since I work every week day and he works a few days during the week and then Saturday and Sunday mornings.
This is the coach purse my mom sent in my Easter package! What a complete surprise! I never expected this! She always tells me that Coach purses are a waste of money since she always finds good purses at Goodwill for $3! Thank you Mom! I love it! Perfect for spring and summer and I wanted a wristlet for the wedding! Perfect!
One evening over spring break I decided to try and make  Teriyaki Steak Lo Mein. It was delicious! Definitely making that one again! And those roses are from my Easter bouquet from my husband! My favorite! I plucked a few of them out of the large bouquet to make our meal tray a little prettier, I'm such a girl!

Well, there's our life in pictures for the past week! It has been a very enjoyable spring break. I am ready to go back to school now. I miss the kids and just having a daily schedule! It will be nice to just have one job next year and longer hours. More of a regular day. Mine now is so chopped up. It's nice having a long lunch break between jobs, but also makes it difficult to schedule time in with friends. Next year should be better.

Matt and I went to Olive Garden to use a gift card my mom sent for Easter. I think my love for Olive Garden has declined... almost died! I still like it occasionally, and last night's meal was delicious! But I don't want to go there every month. Most of their food gives me a bad after taste that lasts all night. Not like something unpleasant, but I just personally don't like it. I got the five cheese ziti last night which is always a fave. That was good and I plan on enjoying the leftovers tonight. So all in all, it was a successful trip to OG.

Tonight I plan on watching Marley and Me for the first time. I just never had time to see it when it was in theaters! I don't feel the pressing need to go to the theater to see movies anymore anyways. I like being in the comforts of my own home, being able to eat anything I want, and the ability to pause or even leave to pick up where I left off the next day. I am prepared to cry since I cry in almost all movies at some point or other. Owen and Jennifer are two of my all-time favorite actors so I should enjoy it. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

I'm so glad I'm finished with Moby Dick. Matt bought me Peter Pan and Brave New World! Those are next on my book list followed by some old classics I own but have never read including Treasure Island, The Little Princess, and the Brother's Grimm collection. How I missed out on reading these all these years, I don't know.

Enjoy your Sunday evening! I know I will!
