So... good news... and bad news. Doesn't it always seem to go this way? I think my cold has finally subsided and my nose is on the recovery path. But... always a but... I think I might have the flu now. Ugh. So another week of missed church to hopefully pass the illness by in time for school on Monday. At least we have podcasts now so I don't feel like a total heathen. We also have one student on vacation for the next couple weeks so if I do need to miss a day I won't need to get a sub. All of this is a blessing. I just wish I had a better immune system.
I skipped cleaning the entire house today because, well, I slept most of the day. It's amazing how much we can sleep when our bodies need it. I honestly think a coma might do me some good. My body need the R&R. I am in the middle of my three loads of laundry (I'm washing our bedding to get rid of the cold germs... now we have to deal with the flu germs!) and have most of the dishes done. I might cave and buy some disposable plates and cups so I don't have to do the dishes as much. I'll be very excited when we have a dishwasher. I'm also making dinner. Cheddar Broccoli Rice. The only thing that doesn't make me gag right now. I just love Rice. Matthew s making ham to accompany it... I just don't know if I could keep it down right now. But I am very hungry.
I gave the kitten a bath today. At first I think she enjoyed it. When I first put her in the tub she walked around a bit with no meowing. But when I got out the soap she jumped out and meowed a lot! But now she is clean and smells real good. She has been sitting in the windows lately, which happen to be very dusty. So she needed a good washing.
I have to go check on the rice. Hope everyone else's weekends are much better than mine. At least I have a wonderful husband to dote on me. Marriage makes everything better. Period.
