I went for a run OUTSIDE yesterday. I didn't do too badly for the first real run in about... a year! haha. I've been a wimp and just using the elliptical for the past year. I figured out why. My freshman year of highschool, we thought I was developing a mild case of asthma. Not good. But then I stopped playing sports that included lots of running for long periods of time. So nothing ever developed. But seriously. My lungs started doing something funny about halfway through my run. So I cut it a little short. My next run we'll see how it goes. Maybe my lungs are just out of shape. Not used to breathing that way. The other aspects of my run were great though. No stitch in my side, my legs didn't tire out, I didn't feel like throwing up afterwards, and I kept going at a good pace the whole time.
It was kinda creepy around the circle without anyone there though. The RDs cars were parked around their apartments, and there were these three random guys lurking around the keyhole parking lot... creepy... but all in all it was alright. Not bad at all.
I did feel good after my run. I think I'll work up to going farther and farther throughout the summer. This time I only ran from East, around the circle, and back again. Not bad, but not great either. I was freaked out by the random guys and also with my lung thing. Hopefully they're just out of shape and they'll get back into hte breathing again real fast. So is this what smokers feel like all the time? See, I value my lungs. And my brain and mind. Oh well. Everyone has their own choice.
